Systems Management Services

ServerVault’s systems management service allows clients to delegate management of their servers to ServerVault so client personnel can focus on enterprise issues and developing new applications. The service includes the 24x7x365 system administration and security support for client systems where ServerVault assumes a proactive role in responding to any alerts that are generated by ServerVault’s system monitoring tools.

ServerVault provides our customers tailored support at the systems level. Features such as our hardened OS configuration, intelligent patch testing and rollout schedules, individual notification/escalation procedures, and customized backup/restore options provide customers the flexibility to both optimize and protect their applications and data.

ServerVault will implement notification and escalation procedures for any incidents that occur in the client’s environment. ServerVault can interface with client’s event management process and systems for seamless handoff if desired.

ServerVault also provides routine software administration and clients have direct access to ServerVault’s 2nd level Technical Support for 24x7x365 assistance with any system administration issues.

Asset Management Service

ServerVault will receive, tag, inventory and store all equipment received for the client’s environment. In addition, ServerVault will maintain a current inventory of all environment equipment, identified by a ServerVault Equipment Tag, Serial Number, Model, Make and Customer Tag (if needed).

ServerVault will record and utilize Customer's Support & Maintenance agreements for customer-furnished equipment and must be listed as a designated onsite contact. ServerVault will store any provided spare equipment on the premises for the client and appropriately inventory all items.

Hardware Repair Services

ServerVault provides 24x7x365 onsite system operations including assisting in the isolation and determination of hardware failures in the client’s environment. ServerVault will replace failing hardware using available spares. ServerVault will coordinate with vendor support resources as necessary in the problem determination and replacement process. ServerVault will also perform periodic maintenance and will schedule such work at the client’s convenience to the extent commercially reasonable.

Patch Management Services

ServerVault provides patch management for the client’s application environment per industry leading practices. ServerVault applies Intelligent Patch Management, which takes into account the fact that not all patches work or are necessary. ServerVault’s experts review each patch for compatibility and necessity to avoid system conflicts or downtime sometimes associated with many patches. Operating System updates are applied during scheduled maintenance windows unless the criticality of the security exposure requires immediate response.

Backup/Restore Services

ServerVault provides weekly full and daily incremental backup of data on all volumes. Backup tapes are stored onsite for ready access and rotated to offsite storage after one month. ServerVault can provide dedicated client tapes if needed (with no other client data stored on tape) either on-site or offsite. Encryption can also be provided on dedicated tape pools upon request.

Additional value-added services such as encrypted or immediate back-up services are also available from ServerVault to meet enhanced security or disaster recovery requirements.
